Forskaren attracts tenants and becomes Elekta’s new head office in Hagastaden

September 7, 2020

Vectura has signed a rental agreement with Elekta, which has decided to establish its head office in Forskaren, an international hub for innovation in life science and health tech right in the heart of Hagastaden. At the crossroads of world-leading players in care, research, and business, Forskaren will be an innovation partner for life and health that gives those working in life sciences the opportunity to develop their ideas and business in an environment that encourages co-operation and the exchange of knowledge.

- We’re very pleased to welcome Elekta to Forskaren and Hagastaden’s future heart for innovation in life science and health tech. We’re proud to start a collaboration with a world-leading company like Elekta. This is also in line with our vision for the building and proves that the concept appeals to the market. We look forward to them moving in in late 2023 to early 2024, says Micael Averborg, Business Unit Manager at Vectura.

- Elekta is looking forward to moving to Forskaren in Hagastaden, where we want to contribute to an innovative environment and develop our industry-leading innovations. The area reflects the way in which we work to provide caregivers and their patients the best treatment options available and to advance precision-driven radiation-based medicine, says CEO of Elekta Instrument AB Jonas Karlström.

The parties have signed a green rental agreement for a total of roughly 5,700 square metres of office and lab space. Tenant & Partner has been Elekta’s advisor in the process. The objective is to develop a sustainable building certified in accordance with LEED platinum and WELL standards.

Forskaren will be part of a world-class science city by serving as a creative meeting place for talent and innovators in life science. The building will offer 24,000 square metres of flexible office space, common areas, and the latest in smart food and drink. At street level, research and business come face to face with a broad section of society, where events, seminars, and exhibitions will challenge our ingrained ideas and preconceptions. The future Hagaplan will be a dynamic place, regardless of the day of the week or time of day.
